第25回 航海日誌を英訳しよう 25th Let’s translate LOGBOOK into English!

現地参加4名、ZOOM参加2名で今日もにぎやかに開催しました。台風のときは停泊中の大型船をロープで制御しきれないので、沖に出して錨を下してしのぐこと、台風の進路を予測して2本の錨が絡まないようタイミングを見計らって投錨する必要があることなど、著者から臨場感あふれる解説があり、理解が一層深まりました。

Four people on site and two people via zoom enjoyed this class. We understood the situation deeply from the story the author explained in detail like this;
When typhoon comes, big boats moored port can not be controlled by rope, so they have to go out to the sea and weather out the typhoon by dropping anchors,
The two anchors must be timely dropped to prevent from be entangled by forecast the route of typhoon.
