It was very humid and started to rain in the latter half. It is not good season for soap making because soap is hard to be dried. Nevertheless, we got together to make a soap because we want to upgrade the skills of soap making. Most of all, we enjoy making natural soap the way we want.

Today two of members brought several herbs they harvested. One of them was a chameleon plant flower to make a medicine for insect bites. As she taught me, wash flowers, dry with paper and soak in a white liquor. I am very grad to learn handmade medicine for insects bite!

Among herbs they brought, we chose mint today. They brought it as mint water ice cube, so we didn't need to cool down NaOH solution but it took some time to dissolve particles of NaOH. One observer joined later.

Today's Recipe;
1st recipe
The ingredients are 50% Olive oil, 10% Palm oil, 20% Palm kernel oil, 20% wild boar fat as fat component with ice cube of mint tea as water component. Mint came from member's garden.

2nd recipe
The ingredients are 50% Palm oil, 10% Olive oil, 20% Palm kernel oil, 20% wild boar fat as fat component with ice cube of mint tea as water component. Mint came from member's garden.

I tried to make a paper out of wasted paper of milk package. Soak the paper in hot water and boil for 3o min, peal off plastic sheet layered on the surface of both with tweezers, put the paper in water and crush with food processor, and spread the mixture on mesh to dry. I put lemon grass leaves between paper. This is an idea of recycling wasted milk package after use for soap making and making a wrapping paper for soap.

今日は蒸し暑く、後半には雨が降りだしてきました。乾燥しにくいこの時期、せっけんづくりには不向きです。それにもかかわらず私たちが集まってせっけんを作るのは、石鹸づくりの腕を磨きたいから。そしてなにより、思い通りの天然石鹸を作るのを心から楽しんでいます。

今日は、メンバーの二人が収穫したハーブをいくつか持ってきてくれました。その一つが、虫刺されの薬を作ることができるどくだみの花。教えてもらった通り、花をさっと水で洗い、ペーパータオルで水分を除いてから、ホワイトリカーに付けました。スプレーにして利用できるそうです。手作りの虫刺されの薬を教えてもらえてとてもうれしかったです。

もってきたハーブの中から、今日はミントを選びました。用意のいいことに、ミント水を氷にして持ってきてくれていたので、水酸化ナトリウム水溶液を冷却する手間が省けました。しかし、NaOHのつぶが解け残って、溶かすのに時間を要しました。さらに今日は一名見学者が来てくれました。

１つめのレシピ
材料は、
油分として、オリーブオイル50%、パーム油10%、猪脂20%、パーム核油20%、
水分として、メンバーの畑で収穫したミントティ.

2つ目のレシピ
油分として、パーム油50%、オリーブオイル10%、猪脂20%、パーム核油20%、
水分として、メンバーの畑で収穫したミントティ.

牛乳パックから紙を作ってみました。お湯に紙を浸して30分煮沸後、両表面に積層されているプラスティック層をピンセットではがし、細かくちぎって水と共にフードプロセッサーにかけ、網戸の上に広げて乾かして、紙ができます。紙の間にレモングラスの葉を挟みました。石鹸づくりに使った牛乳パックを紙に再利用し、石鹸の包装紙として使うアイデアです。
