Food loss
I am keeping losing food in a room filled with oranges. Rebecca taught me a commercial product of dried oranges and tried to make it by herself during her stay. It became highly successful! The flavor was concentrated to make the oranges tasty. It takes much time to dry them but it doesn’t mind if we can use solar power. I will make more!
Hi Yuko,
How about making/ preserving the oranges into a “marmalade”? I remember you using seeds as a natural pectin. You would only needs to add sugar. I will try to attach a website for a recipe. https://www.thespruceeats.com/ search for marmalade and you will (I think) get the one I’m referring to. There’s probably many recipes on the internet. I would can the marmalade extending the product for a couple of years. We did much canning growing up, which I still do some of.
Marmalade! We live in citrus island, and there are variety of citrus here.

As I added English to the above document, local people make marmalade from citrus which is different species from that we have now. Probably bigger oranges are easy to separate tasty peel from bitter white part.
The website you told me is user-friendly! I searched “orange” and found a lot of recipe. I will try orange bread for next breakfast party. Thank you for your information!
