I made a chart of recent egg production in Renaissance farm. ‘Minus’ means an egg but it had been broken when I found. We have three groups now. Group 1, ‘Piyo^2’ are Boris Brown and two members of over two years old. Group 2, ‘Pina^3’ are Momiji and three members born in this year and joined us on June. Group 3, ‘ U-san’ is silky fowl and white one of over two years old.
Piyo^2 are chickens we had for the first time. They kept laying an egg for more than two years each one laid each egg, and now their egg is big but egg production decreased in frequency.
Pina^3 joined us on June as the next generation. They started to lay an egg on middle of August, earlier than we expected. But they lay just one egg per day so far even if they are three memebers. I am making effort to get more egg by improving circumstance of their egg-laying site band keeping them inside chicken coop until noon.
U-san was given to us because her egg production decreased in frequency. We supposed to cook it for dinner with Chinese guests, but they already had dinner when they arrived late at night, so she saved her life. It’s a kind of rare to meet silky fowl, so I decided to keep it by named on it like Chinese.
