Wood craft member, Nakayama san gave me big help to cut and process big bamboo for this event. Hamanami san helped us to remove nodes carefully the day before.
Hamanami san and Mika san helped to prepare this event before starting. Put roof with mesh to make shade, set tables, bamboo tools and chairs. Thank you for your big help!
Many people joined us one after another. Onishi san and her daughters, Kokoha chan and Rina chan enjoyed controlling water stream, flowing thin noodle and eating. I am sorry but they had to leave early. Subsequently, Dave and Mika san’s guests from Toon city and America joined. American family went to beach in front of our house after eating. Meeting their request, I borrowed my bathing suits to an American and Ami san and they enjoyed swimming in the ocean.
Mr. Tokuma and Mr. Nakatsuji respectively adviced me modification of bamboo for this usage. I will improve it next year.
Maki san who came from Toon city run agriculture company and grow rice and wheat. They said generally rice is main and wheat is sub, but they are opposite. I heard many interesting story about wheat business. I hope to visit their farm at the time we can grow wheat stably somehow.
Aoki san, Keiko san and her children, Go kun and Koko chan enjoyed swiming and cleaning bamboo channel even if they didn’t eat noodles. I told her I can rent the kit for their event if they want to use.
Dave brought and showed us old zen receipe book which was published in 1969. He used to cook by himself accorking to it. Keiko san was interested in it very much.
It was very interesting day for me. I believe visitors too.
